What Heya doesn't do yet
Heya doesn't host audio or make an RSS feed. Keep your podcast host, like Buzzsprout or Transistor, for the feed and point the listen buttons at Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube. You can embed an episode player from Spotify, SoundCloud or YouTube on any page.
There is no analytics yet, so take download numbers from your podcast host. Analytics and forms are planned for Pro Standard ($19 a year), which isn't live, so listener questions come in by email for now.
Questions
Is this podcast website template free?
Yes. The template and publishing are free: up to 3 sites with up to 5 pages each on a name.heya.bio address with HTTPS, no credit card and no time limit. Free sites show a small "Made with Heya" badge, which Pro Lite removes for $9 a year.
Can listeners play episodes on the site?
Yes. Embed a Spotify, SoundCloud or YouTube player for any episode. The template uses listen buttons to keep pages fast, so add a player where it helps.
Does the episode list update on its own?
No. Heya doesn't read your RSS feed, so add each new episode as a row on the Episodes page. Each row has the number, the title, a short line and the length.
Can sponsors get a normal link?
On the free plan, links carry a nofollow tag. On Pro Lite, links lose nofollow and the badge goes away, for $9 a year.
Can I make a site for a second show?
Yes. The free plan includes 3 sites, each with its own heya.bio address.
Can I download my podcast website?
Yes. Every plan can download the site as a ZIP of plain HTML, CSS, fonts and images, so you can keep a copy or host it anywhere.
