What Heya doesn't do yet
Heya has no shop, cart or payments yet. Payments are planned for Pro Plus ($49 a year), which isn't live. Until then, buyers email you about a piece and you send an invoice from Square, PayPal or Stripe. If you already sell prints on Etsy or Shopify, link the buttons there.
There is no newsletter signup form either, since forms are planned for Pro Standard ($19 a year) and aren't live. Point the "Join the list" button at a signup page on Mailchimp, Substack or Buttondown.
Questions
Is this artist website template free?
Yes. The template and publishing are free: up to 3 sites with up to 5 pages each on a name.heya.bio address with HTTPS, no credit card and no time limit. Free sites show a small "Made with Heya" badge, which Pro Lite removes for $9 a year.
Can people buy my art on the site?
Not directly. Each painting has an email button, and you send the buyer an invoice. You can also link buttons to a print shop you already use, like Etsy. Payments are planned for Pro Plus but are not live.
How do I add more paintings?
Add image and text blocks to the grid on the Work page. Each painting is a photo, a title and one line with the medium, size and price. The free plan allows 5 pages per site, so you can also give each series its own page.
Can I change the colors and fonts?
Yes. Pick one of 14 theme presets and any of 42 fonts, so the site can match your work. See what you can customize.
Can I keep a separate site for my prints or teaching?
Yes. The free plan includes 3 sites, each with its own heya.bio address.
Can I download my artist website?
Yes. Every plan can download the site as a ZIP of plain HTML, CSS, fonts and images, so you can keep a copy or host it anywhere.
