What Heya doesn't do yet
Heya has no booking calendar, client galleries or payments yet. Payments are planned for Pro Plus ($49 a year), which isn't live. Until then, point the "Check my dates" buttons at your booking page on a tool like Calendly or HoneyBook, and deliver photos through a gallery service like Pixieset or ShootProof.
There is no contact form yet either. Forms are planned for Pro Standard ($19 a year), which isn't live, so the email and call buttons open the visitor's mail app or phone. Custom domains are still to come too, so your photography website lives on name.heya.bio for now.
Questions
Is this photography website template free?
Yes. The template and publishing are free: up to 3 sites with up to 5 pages each on a name.heya.bio address with HTTPS, no credit card and no time limit. Free sites show a small "Made with Heya" badge, which Pro Lite removes for $9 a year.
Can clients book and pay a deposit on the site?
Not on Heya yet. Link the "Check my dates" buttons to your booking page, or embed a Calendly page right on the Sessions page. Payments are planned for Pro Plus but are not live.
Can I add a gallery page for each kind of session?
Yes. The template has 3 pages and the free plan allows 5 per site, so you can add pages for weddings or families. Pro Lite allows 20 pages per site.
Will my photos look good on a phone?
Yes. Every section stacks into one column on small screens, so photos fill the width of the phone. See how Heya sites work on phones.
Can I use my own domain?
Not yet. Custom domains are planned for Pro Standard ($19 a year), which is not live. For now your site is on name.heya.bio with HTTPS.
Can I download my photography website?
Yes. Every plan can download the site as a ZIP of plain HTML, CSS, fonts and images, so you can keep a copy or host it anywhere.
