Both are free for 3 sites, with no code and no credit card, and both drop the badge for $9 a year. Heya gives each site up to 5 pages (20 on Pro Lite) and a free HTML download. A Carrd site is one page, and downloads need Pro Plus at $49 a year.

Carrd does better
- Forms and widgets. Contact forms, widgets and embeds from Pro Standard at $19 a year. Heya has no forms yet.
- Custom domains. From $19 a year, with SSL included. Heya's custom domains aren't live yet.
- Analytics and meta tags. Both on Pro Standard.
- More templates. Dozens, against Heya's 12 plus a blank start.
- A trial. 7 days of Pro with no payment or credit card.
- Many sites, cheaply. 10 sites for $14 a year or 25 for $29.
Heya does better
- Real pages. Up to 5 per site on the free plan and 20 on Pro Lite. Carrd's docs describe sections as a way to "simulate the effect of having multiple pages on a one-page site".
- A free download. Every Heya plan can download the site as plain HTML, CSS, fonts and images. Carrd's download needs Pro Plus at $49 a year.
- Embeds for $0. YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud, Calendly and Google Maps on every plan, loaded when a visitor clicks. Carrd lists embeds under Pro Standard.
- Light pages. Published Heya sites ship no framework JavaScript.
Pages or sections?
On Carrd, a site is one long page. You add sections and link to them with addresses like #about, so it can feel like several pages. That works well for a landing page, a profile or a small portfolio.
If you want separate pages, such as Home, Work, About and Contact, Heya lets you add them in the same editor: up to 5 on the free plan and 20 on Pro Lite. Each site can still be a single page if that's all you need.

Yes, for the basics. Heya's free plan has the same 3 sites as Carrd's, with up to 5 pages each, on a name.heya.bio address with a small badge. Pro Lite costs $9 a year on both.
Can Carrd make multi-page websites?
Not as separate pages. Carrd describes itself as a service for one-page sites, and its docs say sections "simulate the effect of having multiple pages on a one-page site".
Can I download my Carrd site as HTML?
Only on Pro Plus or higher, from $49 a year. Carrd's copy leaves out server-side code, so forms won't work in it. On Heya, the ZIP download is free on every plan.
Does Heya have forms and custom domains?
Not yet. Custom domains, forms and analytics come with Heya Pro Standard ($19 a year), which is coming soon. If you need them now, Carrd Pro Standard has them for the same $19 a year.
