Make your restaurant website in 6 steps
- Open the templateIt opens in the Heya builder with all 3 pages, the photos and a sample menu in place. You do not need an account to start.
- Type in your menuClick any dish to change its name, price or description. Add or remove dishes in each course until it matches what you serve.
- Set your hours and addressUpdate the hours on the Visit page and the closing note on the home page. Put your address into the Get directions link so it opens the right spot.
- Link reservations and takeoutPaste your OpenTable, Resy or Tock link into the Book a table buttons and your Toast or Square link into Order takeout.
- Add your photosReplace the three photos with your own dining room and dishes. Plates shot next to a window in daylight look the most like the real thing.

What Heya doesn't do yet
Heya does not take reservations or online orders. The Book a table and Order takeout buttons link to the service you already use, like OpenTable, Resy or Toast, so bookings and orders stay in one place for your staff. There is no built-in contact form yet either: forms are planned for Pro Standard ($19 a year), which isn't live, so the party request button opens an email instead.
Custom domains are still to come, so your restaurant website lives on name.heya.bio for now. The menu is plain text you edit by hand: when a price changes, change it in the builder and publish again.
Questions
Is this restaurant website template free?
Yes. The template and publishing are free: up to 3 sites with up to 5 pages each on a name.heya.bio address with HTTPS, no credit card and no time limit. Free sites show a small "Made with Heya" badge, which Pro Lite removes for $9 a year.
Can guests book a table or order online?
Yes, through the service you already use. Paste your OpenTable, Resy or Tock link into the Book a table buttons and your Toast or Square link into Order takeout. Heya does not take bookings, orders or payments itself.
How do I change prices or the specials?
Click the text, type the new price or dish and publish again. Each course on the menu page is a single text block, so you can add, move or remove dishes in one place.
Can I show a map on the site?
The Visit page has a Get directions button that opens Google Maps. You can also add an embed block with a Google Maps map to show it right on the page.
I have two locations. Do I need two sites?
You can do either. The free plan allows 3 sites with 5 pages each, so you can add a page per location or give each one its own site and address.
Can I use my own domain?
Not yet. Custom domains are planned for Pro Standard ($19 a year), which is not live. For now your restaurant website lives on a name.heya.bio address with HTTPS.
