What Heya doesn't do yet
Heya has no forms or file uploads yet, so applications and documents go through your own online application. Link the apply buttons to it, so borrower details stay in your system. Forms are planned for Pro Standard ($19 a year), which isn't live.
There's no live rate table and no custom code, so you can't add a mortgage calculator. The template leaves rates out, since they change every day, and invites people to call or apply instead. Custom domains are still to come, so the site lives on name.heya.bio for now.
Questions
Is this mortgage website template free?
Yes. The template and publishing are free: up to 3 sites with up to 5 pages each on a name.heya.bio address with HTTPS, no credit card and no time limit. Free sites show a small "Made with Heya" badge, which Pro Lite removes for $9 a year.
Can borrowers apply on the site?
Not on Heya itself. The Start your application and Get pre-approved buttons link to the online application you already use, so borrower details stay in your system.
Can I add a mortgage calculator?
Heya doesn't run custom code, so a calculator can't be built into the page. Link a button to a calculator on your application site instead.
Does it work for a loan officer at a bank or a lender?
Yes. Change "broker" to "loan officer", swap in your NMLS numbers and remove the line about 20 lenders. The loan types and the process stay the same.
Can I use my own domain?
Custom domains are planned for Pro Standard, which isn't live yet. For now the site is on name.heya.bio. You can also download it as plain HTML and host it anywhere.
Can I add more pages?
Yes. The template has 2 pages and the free plan allows 5 per site, so you can add a page for first-time buyers or one for real estate agents. Pro Lite allows 20 pages per site.
