Free memorial website template
Memorial website template with service details and shared memories
A free 3-page memorial website with a life story, the visitation and service times with directions, a link for gifts in lieu of flowers and a page of memories from family and friends. Edit it in your browser without code and publish it on yourname.heya.bio in about 20 minutes, no credit card. Pro Lite removes the small badge for $9 a year.
The free plan includes 3 sites with up to 5 pages each, HTTPS, and a ZIP download of your files.

What Heya doesn't do yet
There's no built-in guest book or memory form yet. Forms are planned for Pro Standard ($19 a year), which isn't live. Until then, the Add a memory button opens an outside form: a free Google Form collects stories and photos, and you copy the ones you want onto the memories page.
Heya does not take payments, so gifts go through the charity's own donation page. There is no password protection yet either, so anyone with the link can open the site. You can ask search engines not to list it in the site settings.
Questions
Is this memorial website template free?
Yes. The template and publishing are free: up to 3 sites with up to 5 pages each on a name.heya.bio address with HTTPS, no credit card and no time limit. Free sites show a small "Made with Heya" badge, which Pro Lite removes for $9 a year.
How do people share memories?
The Add a memory button links to any form you choose. A free Google Form works well: people send a story and a photo, and you copy the ones you want onto the memories page. A built-in form is planned but not live yet.
Can people watch the service online?
Yes. Paste the stream link into the livestream button, or add a YouTube or Vimeo embed to the service page so people can watch right there.
Can I keep the memorial website off Google?
Yes. Turn on "hide from search engines" in the site settings and search engines are asked not to list it. Anyone with the link can still open it, so share it with the people who knew them.
How long does the site stay online?
For as long as you want, on the free plan too. After the service, swap the service details for a page of photos, or download the site as a ZIP to keep a copy.
