How to add a link or multiple links to your Instagram bio in 2026
You can add a website to your Instagram profile using the Android or iPhone app, as Instagram does not
allow adding profile websites on computers. To share up to 50 links in one block, build a free link page

Linktree, Beacons, Carrd, and Heya.
Heya is ours, so read its row with that in mind. Every other number comes from each company's own pages,
checked on October 28, 2026.

Instagram rules and limits that matter
Instagram lets you add a bio and a website to your profile, but there's a catch with the website
field. You can't add a website on a computer. You have to open the Android or iPhone app to put that
link in or change it.
Along with an external URL, you can add a Facebook profile link to your bio and link your profile to
your shop on Instagram. Instagram also has built-in tools for Shop, Payments in Instagram, and
Fundraisers and Donations. And if you run into trouble while editing your profile, Instagram has a
Meta AI support assistant you can chat with to fix issues, make changes, and get help in real time.
What to put on your link in bio page
Put your most important links right at the top so people don't have to scroll to find them. On Heya,
one page can hold up to 40 sections, including a buttons block with up to 6 buttons, a links block
with up to 50 links, and a socials block for 29 networks plus your email, phone, and website. You can
also drop in our countdown block to count down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds to a date you
pick, or use the embed block for YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud, Calendly, and Google Maps.
Need email sign-ups or digital product checkouts right on the page? Linktree includes email and phone
sign-ups on its Free plan and digital product checkouts via Linktree Earn, Beacons offers lead-capture
forms plus unlimited digital products on its Free plan, and Carrd adds signup forms starting on its
$19 / year Pro Standard plan.
Common mistakes when setting up a bio link
The biggest mistake is trying to add your website link from a desktop computer. Instagram doesn't
allow that, so switch to the Android or iPhone app. People also pay for a monthly subscription before
checking what they need. If you just want a link page without branding, Carrd Pro Lite is $9 a year
and Heya Pro Lite is $3 a month, while Heya Pro Standard costs $6 a month for up to 5 sites and 1
custom domain per account.
On Heya, you link buttons directly to the store, checkout page, or Google Form you already use. And if
you sell digital products on a free plan, watch the fees: Beacons takes a 9% commission on Free and
Creator, while Linktree drops its fees on the $14/month (billed annually) Pro plan, though transaction
and processing fees may still apply.
