About

We grew up on farms and in labs

Ana Ruiz grew up on her family's tomato farm near Woodland. She watched her dad water by feel and by calendar, and wanted better data for growers like him.

She met Sam Okoro at UC Davis in 2021. Two years and 300 prototypes later, the first Tilth Probes went into the ground.

How we work

Three rules we hold ourselves to, from the first prototype to the last support call.

  • Farmers first: we build what growers ask for, in the order they ask.
  • Hardware that lasts: every probe is built for 3 seasons in the dirt.
  • Your data is yours: export it any time. We never sell it.
