About us
A neighborhood church since 1962
Riverbend started with 14 families in a living room on Chestnut Street. Today about 600 people call it home, from WKU students to grandparents who were married here.
What we believe
- God made the world and loves every person in it.
- Jesus lived, died and rose again, and anyone can follow him.
- The Bible is our guide for faith and everyday life.
- The church is a family, not a building.
Lead pastor
Tom Whitaker
Lead pastor since 2009. Married to Linda, with three grown kids.
Kids and families
Rachel Nguyen
Runs Riverbend Kids and the Wednesday dinner.
Students
Marcus Bell
Leads grades 6 to 12 and coaches the church softball team.
